Eastway Village Green and surrounding venues, E9

The day included the Fete on Eastway Village Green with the Wick Curiosity Shop, plus a programme of walks, talks, tours, a tea dance, art installations, boxing, open studios, school fairs, a boulder, gardening, Eton Manor Boys Club and roof top art. The theme of the festival was 'local produce' and celebrated the lives and the life in Hackney Wick.

Hackney Wick Festival was orgainsed by SPACE with the Wick Coalition, a steering group of local residents, artists and orgainsations:  SPACE, St Mary of Eton, Hackney Wick Community Centre, Gainsborough School, Trowbridge Centre, UXL, Albion Kids Show and Hackney Playbus

The Hackney Wick Festival was granted the London 2012 Inspire mark as part of the Cultural Olympiad. London's 2012's Cultural Olympiad is a four year UK-wide programme of culture which will welcome the world and inspire young people.
