Let’s Do Lunch: TAKE2030
Lets do lunch 6 – 16 April 2005

TAKE2030 takes its richair lunchboxes out to lunch in Hackney. Let’s Do Lunch tracks Hackney's public access wireless nodes and its lunch menus along bus route 26. Lunch dates are set up with community members to exchange dialogues on practicals and visions for a wireless Hackney.

For one week (March 28 – April 03), TAKE2030 lunched with Hackney locals, checking out menus, nodes and signals. The Let’s Do Lunch exhibition at SPACE Media Arts presented the mapping of Hackney's wireless outposts along bus route 26 and the video documentation of the seven lunch dates, menus and dialogue. The visiting public could also add their wireless nodes on the map. The three richair lunchboxes were on display, equipped with mini-microphones to take in the visiting public's comments. A live mix of the comments and lunchboxes' auto-transmission of SPACE' wireless signal strength was amplifie.

Pump the signals, realize a wireless Hackney.

Lets Do Lunch was organized by SPACE and inIVA as part of Discover Hackney.
