Artists Mikey Weinkove and Saul Albert of The People Speak were invited to create a project for a football Kickabout area on the Ranwell Estate, in Tower Hamlets, E3. The Kickabout, up till then in a state of disrepair and neglect, had undergone refurbishment and the project sought to engage the young people and their families. |

Following the success of The Bigger Picture project SPACE Collaborations invited the artists Mikey Weinkove and Saul Albert of The People Speak back to the Ranwell Estate Kickabout to encourage local children to participate in The Bigger Picture, a giant wall drawing on the Kickabout. |

13 March – 14 July 2007 Abolition ’07 Exhibition at The Hackney Museum Artist Godfried Donkor has produced new work in response to Abolition 07, Hackney Museum’s exhibition commemorating the bicentenary of the abolition of Britain’s transatlantic slave trade. The work was commissioned by Hackney Museum and supported by SPACE utilising the Commissioning Studio to make this work during a five-week residency. |
