The Architecture Foundation, in partnership with SPACE, presents Legacy Plus: Interim Uses and East London’s Olympic Legacy 2nd – 4th March 2010
Legacy Plus is a three-day symposium that takes a creative and propositional look at the transition phase of London’s 2012 Olympic Legacy — constructively exploring the role that temporary structures and interim uses can play in influencing the future evolution of East London, both in and around the Olympic site.
Legacy Now is an annual event highlighting the need to address Olympic legacy issues now if cultural industries are not to be priced out of East London. The events bring together planners, policy makers and creative practitioners engaged in the cultural future of East London. These events are held to ensure that cultural space is understood, sustained and not lost in the regeneration process and that the Olympics are an opportunity not a threat to East London.
