| Biography: | My practice is an expansive investigation into the banal, mundane and the everyday as experienced when walking. It explores a variety of ideas around the Everyday, location and place. The aim of my practice is to focus on the things that are regarded as banal and everyday, that don’t call attention to themselves, the things that are never mapped. I use painting, photography, drawing, interventions, film and book making to catalogue and record the everyday as experienced on walks. My work functions as a rigorous examination of the everyday areas that we all encounter in the city. This is explored in my recent projects, which include Four Great Points, a painting intervention in the Hackney Wick area, now the Olympic Zone and a new series of books recording walks and interventions, these are under the umbrella title Field Studies, and include a walk of the Olympic Boundary Fence, the Victoria Park Night Walk and the Industrial Estate of Hackney Wick.
