Biography

Biography:

When war broke out in Bosnia I was working as an au pair in Britain in order to learn English.
Initially hoping that the war would only last six months and I would be able to return home. I soon realised that I couldn't make plans for the short term. Beginning with a foundation course at Camberwell, I completed my BA sculpture at Chelsea College of Art in 1998, and graduated from the RCA for my MA in 2000.

Being forced to seek asylum has changed my persepctive as well as my career, from mechanical engeener to a sculptor

The psychological trauma of uncertainty attracted me to objects and materials, which have strong personal resonance as a means of survival.

My work has been concerned with loss and renewal.
I have exhibited at the Conjunction O6,Balkan Season, Tullie Hoese in Carlisle, The London Institute the Royal Society of British Sculptors and have picked up a clutch of residencies and prizes, including bursaries from The Woo, ACE grant for research, RSBS and ACAVA.
