Exhibition Intern

SPACE are seeking a lively and accomplished individual to join the exhibitions team for a 6-month period.

In this internship you will work directly with SPACE’s Exhibition Curator. We will need you to commit to two days per week between Wednesday and Sunday.

Duties will include curatorial research for long-term projects and developing and supporting immediate future projects. In addition, you will be expected to play a central role in the installation and take down of exhibitions, supervise the day-to-day upkeep of the gallery, work with the exhibitions team on marketing and events and document all events that take place.


Essential Skills: contemporary art knowledge, photographic skills, technical capabilities (exhibition install / deinstall), art handling awareness, computer literacy (e.g. Microsoft Office, Photoshop, Social Networking Sites).

Desirable:
 Clean driving licence
, experience archiving of works

This an unpaid position but we are able to offer £10 per day to cover travel expenses.
