Video Production skills

1 Day Course
Date: Saturday 29th October 2011
Times: 10.30am to 4.30pm
Price: £100.00
Instructor: Edward Schlesinger

With a few basic technical skills you can improve your footage, regardless if you are using a video camera, smart phone or other capturing device. This class is for people who want to produce their own video content such as short videos and documentaries and have limited previous experience.

Over one day students will learn how to set up a camera and tripod, how to use a slate, how to choose shots to tell a story and how to use sound recording equipment.  The training will include a basic overview of lighting and how to use natural lighting for best effect.  The training will take students through a documentary-style shoot and will cover the clearances required to release footage to a wider audience.

Students will practice with camera and sound equipment in a hands-on setting. Students will shoot a documentary style interview and at the end of the day, the video footage shot will be reviewed and evaluated by the entire class.
